How to Lose Weight, Have More Energy and Beat Sugar Addiction
If you are looking for long-term health success and you are sick and tired of diets that don’t work, unrealistic cleanses or torturing yourself with exaggerated workout routines, this article will help you. Overcoming sugar cravings is not as simple as going cold-turkey without having any solid plan to fall back on. The problem is that we very often perceive problems such as: weight gain, lack of energy, moodiness (and even anxiety) and uncontrolled sugar addiction as separate problems that require separate solutions- usually quick fixes or, in some cases, swallowing the pill that can make things worse…The truth is that the real holistic solution has been hidden from us. Main stream marketing makes us go for other things (let’s call them fads, OK?) so that we stay sick and tired (some people create entire businesses around people who are sick and tired). Read on to discover the simple solution that has helped me lose weight, beat sugar addiction and even cure a weird auto-immune disease that was provoking a really serious eye condition (uveitis)… Continue reading
3 Beautiful Plant Based Ideas for Different Ocassions
People always ask me: I want to try to eat “more alkaline” but what the heck do I eat? Well, the good news is that following the alkaline diet is not as hard as many gurus make it to be. First of all, it’s not about perfection, it’s about progress. Also, the alkaline diet is not about eating 100% raw (unless of course you want to). There are many different ways to go about it (for example, some people go fully vegan, some don’t, some go vegeterian and some simply decide to add more plant based foods into their diet and reduce animal products at the same time). It’s up to you what you decide to choose. My goal is to provide you with simple, easy and nutritious recipes that don’t require spending hours in your kitchen. These are also fantastic to detox and help you add more fresh raw or almost raw foods into your diet. Whatever it is that you eat, always try to serve it with a big bowl of salad. You can never go wrong with that! So there we go ladies and gentlemen, some of my latest recipes! Of course, remember that nothing is set in stone. Feel free to use your imagination and transfrom those recipes if you want (especially if a recipe calls for an ingredient you can’t stand or doesn’t work well for you). And yes, as the title of this post says, these recipes are fully plant based, as it is our goal- we want to enrich our diets with beautiful plant based foods and actually enjoy it (doesn’t have to be gross…) Continue reading
How to Make Green Smoothies Super Tasty (Even If You Hate Veggies)
Green smoothies are a quick and easy way to get a healthy dose of all the vegetables and fruits you need each day. Drinking these tasty treats is a great way to achieve fantastic weight loss and to cut your craving for sweets and other junk foods. Working as a meal substitute green smoothies also provide your body with the antioxidants it needs to fight disease and generally optimize your health. Clear, glowing skin is an added benefit to drinking green smoothies, their high fiber content makes sure that your bowels are working properly so waste is removed from the body the proper way rather than through the skin. A healthy diet including green smoothies can provide greater mental clarity and gives you a natural energy boost that will allow you to power through a long day at work or a grinding workout at the gym, you may even be able to give up your morning coffee (it was quite a challenge for me to be honest, lol).To some newcomers the thought of a green smoothie is not too appealing. However, green smoothies are not all green leafy vegetables, they also incorporate tasty fruits and you can load them with all of your favorite fruits and veggies to get exactly the taste you crave… Continue reading
Curried Butternut Soup with Almond Milk (Alkaline, Vegan, Gluten-Free friendly recipe)
Butternut squash is high in dietary fibre and potassium which is important for bone health, it also contains a significant amount of vitamin B6 which is essential for the proper functioning of both your liver and immune system. Almonds are great for detoxifying your liver; their high vitamin E content is known to help clear out fatty deposits that may be lurking in your liver after a long winter of comforting, heavy foods. Turmeric is another great liver detoxifier due to its anti-inflammatory properties. The garlic and ginger are also known for their liver detoxifying abilities as well as their anti-inflammatory properties. This is an incredibly flavorful soup, although it is spicy, and can be enjoyed at anytime of the day either hot or cold. Continue reading

Everyday Alkaline Superfoods That Will Make You Unstoppable
Many of us have heard the term “alkaline superfoods” at this point (sounds faddish) but do we really have an understanding of what they are? Is it about expensive supplements that are difficult to find and to pronounce? Is it about some magical green cures? Nope. In my previous article Alkaline Superfoods: Energize Yourself Fast we concluded that Alkaline Superfoods are (in most cases) simple, everyday, common-sense foods that your granny probably told you to eat more of (like spinach for example). They are packed with minerals and vitamins that provide your body with optimal health and energy. The good news? You can easily find them at your local grocery store and stay healthy on a budget. Let’s start by taking a closer look at what is so special about these foods, and then go onto examine specific choices (the superfoods of the superfoods) that should be added to your diet. I will also help you with the practical part and motivation- how to create amazing recipes to help your body with optimal nutrition.
Alkaline Diet Lifestyle for Vibrant Health and Massive Weight Loss
I am back with another alkaline diet and lifestyle Q&A session. In case you have missed the first part, check it out here. Before we start, remember that the most important thing is to listen to your body. Of course, there are certain rules to keep in mind, and having a reliable and proven source of information can save you lots of time and frustration. However, remember that I am not telling you to go on a super strict alkaline diet. I am giving you information and inspiration so that you can create your own alkaline way and I am not saying that what I do is the only path to wellness and health. Even though I am an alkaline girl, and I love it, I take inspiration from other diets as well. I try to keep my mind open. Nothing is set in stone. With that being said, we are ready to dive into questions and answers!
Alkaline Diet- The Common Sense Approach
Lately, I have been getting lots of questions about the Alkaline Diet. Since the questions I quote today are the questions I was asking myself when I first got started on my alkaline journey, I decided to turn them into a Q & A session blog article that all my dear readers can benefit from. I always say that everyone is different and everyone has a unique style of eating which is beautiful. The most important thing when it comes to creating wellness through balanced nutrition, is to listen to your body. Supercharge Your Body & Mind and Stimulate Healing with Fennel Tea
One of my readers has recently asked me if I could write something about herbs for self-healing. Since she said she didn’t know where to start and she was looking for something simple, I decided to focus on just one herb– mainly my favorite herb I couldn’t live without! Seriously, if I was to go to a proverbial “desert island” and if I could choose only one herb, it would definitely be fennel and it’s really fantastic as a part of your daily self-care practice for wellness and overall health. However, remember that when it comes to specific conditions you wish to treat (even with natural therapies and herbs) you always should seek advice from a qualified health practitioner (in this case- phytotherapist/herbalist or a naturopathic doctor). With that being said, if you are interested in creating more physical well-being, alkalize with natural herbs, and embrace more of a caffeine-free, alkaline lifestyle- read on!
