3 Beautiful Plant Based Ideas for Different Ocassions
People always ask me: I want to try to eat “more alkaline” but what the heck do I eat? Well, the good news is that following the alkaline diet is not as hard as many gurus make it to be. First of all, it’s not about perfection, it’s about progress. Also, the alkaline diet is not about eating 100% raw (unless of course you want to). There are many different ways to go about it (for example, some people go fully vegan, some don’t, some go vegeterian and some simply decide to add more plant based foods into their diet and reduce animal products at the same time). It’s up to you what you decide to choose. My goal is to provide you with simple, easy and nutritious recipes that don’t require spending hours in your kitchen. These are also fantastic to detox and help you add more fresh raw or almost raw foods into your diet. Whatever it is that you eat, always try to serve it with a big bowl of salad. You can never go wrong with that! So there we go ladies and gentlemen, some of my latest recipes! Of course, remember that nothing is set in stone. Feel free to use your imagination and transfrom those recipes if you want (especially if a recipe calls for an ingredient you can’t stand or doesn’t work well for you). And yes, as the title of this post says, these recipes are fully plant based, as it is our goal- we want to enrich our diets with beautiful plant based foods and actually enjoy it (doesn’t have to be gross…) Continue reading

What makes this soup special? It’s easy, fresh, extremely alkalyzing and great for warm days! Curried Butternut Soup with Almond Milk (Alkaline, Vegan, Gluten-Free friendly recipe)
Butternut squash is high in dietary fibre and potassium which is important for bone health, it also contains a significant amount of vitamin B6 which is essential for the proper functioning of both your liver and immune system. Almonds are great for detoxifying your liver; their high vitamin E content is known to help clear out fatty deposits that may be lurking in your liver after a long winter of comforting, heavy foods. Turmeric is another great liver detoxifier due to its anti-inflammatory properties. The garlic and ginger are also known for their liver detoxifying abilities as well as their anti-inflammatory properties. This is an incredibly flavorful soup, although it is spicy, and can be enjoyed at anytime of the day either hot or cold. Continue reading
Can This Program Really Help You Look and Feel Amazing?
I have been receiving many questions about the Total Wellness Cleanse Program lately, and since I have been through the program twice myself (and I will do it again), I wanted to give you my honest opinion and what you can expect from it.
Some of the questions I got from my followers were: “But isn’t it just another online health scam?” or “How can I know I can trust this guy”, or: “I am not too sure if I can commit to a cleanse”, or” But Marta, you always say you are not a proponent of drastic cleanses and weird detoxes- these are your own words”. Well, in this blog post, we are going to dive deep into the philosophy behind the Total Wellness Cleanse and we will also “investigate” its co-creator, Yuri Elkaim. I hope that the information I present in this post, will help you make a decision so that you know whether this program is actually for, as well as when it’s the best time to commit to it and how to go about it.

Alkaline Foods and Alkaline Living
As a wellness coach I am constantly being asked by clients about the type of a diet they should be following. I am a big fan of the Alkaline Diet as it has really improved my overall health. First of all, I hate calling it a diet, I prefer to call it “a healthy, balanced, alkaline lifestyle”. The rule is very simple and going Alkaline is not as difficult as they say it can be! It’s all about finding balance: you should aim to eat 70% alkaline foods, while the remaining 30% can be acidic foods. My suggestion- try to make the acidic foods healthy as well, that is- choose good quality, natural, organic and nutritious foods. The balance won’t be achieved if you eat 70% super healthy and alkaline and use the ‘acid’ 30% for fast food!
There is also the 80/20 rule that usually applies to people who are suffering from really low energy levels or people who need to detox or have been on medication etc. If you know that you are already healthy, you can also do 70% alkaline and 30% acidic (I call it: a healthy maintenance!)
Natural Therapy Coaching Intro – The Best of Holistic Wellness for your Body & Mind
